ASBI Shabbat Greeting Guide

Help us make Shabbat services at ASBI welcoming and friendly for new faces and returning members alike. Sign up below to volunteer for a greeter shift on an upcoming Friday night or Shabbat morning. Greeters will:

1. Welcome people into the building with a Shabbat Shalom or Good Shabbos. We'll have a name tag available for you to pick up from the office mailbox (located above the copier in the library area).

2. Direct people to main or hashkama minyan.

3. Have a bulletin handy to tell people where children’s programming is taking place.

4. Help people find a siddur if they need. If they want a more one-on-one help navigating Shabbat services, Devorah Schoenfeld can help them.

5. Feel free to tell people about upcoming events and to join for kiddush.

6. Start a conversation and get to know people.

7. If someone is new to the community, try to remember their names and let the Membership Committee (Camila Altman) know.

8. Be friendly and welcoming!
