The ASBI Task Force is convening a conversation for women about being a woman at ASBI. With Irene Lehrer Sandalow and Judith Wolf, we will discuss:

What are some of the questions and interests of the women in the shul? What are the ritual issues and opportunities (bat mitzvah, mikvah use, prayer, holiday celebrations, etc.)? What are communal concerns and various desires (leadership representation, “sisterhood,” social justice)? What are the intellectual interests of the women at ASBI (Torah, navigating issues particular to women)? While this is an event for women, Rabbi Finkelstein will be there to listen and ask questions, as one of the goals of these conversations is for our shul leader to learn about our community as we strengthen the engagement of all its segments.

Let’s hear the burning questions from all the participants and discuss them together! We limit each group to 15 people at most to keep the conversation intimate (so we will have two meetings for this topic). Location will be provided when you register.

(This conversation is a woman-focused event that welcomes transgender women and cisgender women of all ages.)
