Dvora Baron is a pioneering Hebrew and Yiddish writer. Born in Eastern Europe, Baron lived for a time in the same town - Mariampole, Lithuania - as our own synagogue's founders. About Baron's work: "Baron brings vividly to life the shtetl experiences of women and other disenfranchised members of the Jewish community." 

For our first meeting, we'll discuss the following stories: "Kaddish" and "Burying the Books".
