Rabbi Yakov Danishefsky works as a clinical therapist at Searching for Change and a teacher at Ida Crown Jewish Academy. He also speaks and teaches in different capacities around the Chicago area. In teaching and therapy, Rabbi Danishefsky brings a blend of mind and heart through his warm, relatable, and sincere presence. As a therapist, he specializes in treating sexual addictions, trauma, and couples counseling. At Ida Crown, he teaches Gemarah and Tanach and is passionate about stimulating curiosity and independent thinking in the classroom. He earned Semicha and a Masters in Jewish Philosophy from Yeshiva University and completed his Masters in Social Work from Walden University. He was also a member of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. Rabbi Danishefsky lives in Chicago with his wife Dana and three children.
