MORAH DEBORAH KLAPPER is a literacy-focused Torah educator who enjoys thinking about big-picture interpretations of Tanach narratives. After many years as a classroom teacher and school administrator, Morah Klapper is now a full-time tutor, teaching adults and children to read and understand the texts of our tradition independently, so they can form their own relationships with Hashem and truly inherit their heritage. Her international tutoring practice ranges in a typical week from alef-bet to Tanach to Talmud to Yoreh Deah. She holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and a certificate from the Drisha Scholars' Circle. She lives and works in Sharon, MA.

 

RABBI ARYEH KLAPPER is a halakhic authority  and thought-leader who serves as Dean of the Center for Modern Torah Leadership (CMTL) and as Cofounder of the Boston Agunah Task Force.. He previously served as Orthodox Rabbinic Advisor at Harvard Hillel, Talmud Curriculum Chair at Maimonides High School, Instructor of Rabbinics and Medical Ethics at Gann Academy, and Senior Dayan on the Boston Beit Din. Rabbi Klapper’s scholarship and advocacy shape Orthodox discourse and practice on issues as varied as mental health, financial aid policy, women’s Torah study, journalism, political theory, military ethics, labor ethics, and agunah prevention. As Rosh Beit Midrash of CMTL’s Summer Beit Midrash, he has helped an astounding array of men and women develop into halakhic scholars and Torah leaders. His new book  Divine Will and Human Experience: Explorations of the Halakhic System and Its Values is available on Amazon.
