A Presentation on Police Accountability by JCUA
Wednesday, September 2, 2020 • 13 Elul 5780
8:00 PM - 9:00 PMJoin the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs in a discussion around the current movement to create a community oversight body to hold the Chicago Police Department accountable. The Grassroots Alliance for Police Accountability has been working for 3+ years to build a structure for Chicago based on the lived experiences of those most directly impacted by police misconduct as well as best practices from around the country. JCUA believes that community oversight is one piece of the puzzle in bringing justice to our communities and in ending racialized violence towards Black and Brown folks in our city.
