“The World of Sholom Aleichem” is a compilation of three stories from renowned author and playwright Sholom Aleichem (known as the Yiddish Mark Twain). Starring Zero Mostel, Nancy Walker, and Sam Levene, “A Tale of Chelm” is about a bookseller who tries to buy a goat in a town of fools; “Bontche Schweig” is a tale of a poor man whose heavenly arrival coaxes tears from the angels; and “The High School” is about a couple's attempts to send their son to a non-religious school.
