In this drama, a mother--Henya--and her ten-year-old daughter Aviya are Holocaust survivors attempting to go about their daily lives in a small Israeli village during the early 1950's. Henya continually struggles to escape her nightmares about her past, while Aviya is determined to find her father and wonders if each passing face could be the man she is looking for. The film is based on the autobiographical novel by Israeli theater actress Gila Almagor.
