Seventy years after the establishment of the State of Israel, support for Israel is a core component of the worldview of many religious Jews. It is part and parcel of the way that we understand Judaism itself. Yet Zionism, as an ideology, has been and remains controversial among Jewish communities with a competing allegiance to the primacy of Torah and Mitzvot. This class will explore the history of religious Zionism and its potential for the future.
