8:05 PM - 8:35 PMASBI

Join us for a Shalosh Seudot presentation about United Hatzalah of Israel by United Hatzalah Midwest Development officer Brielle Collins.

United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest independent, non-profit, fully volunteer Emergency Medical Services organization that provides the fastest and free emergency medical first response throughout Israel. United Hatzalah's service is available to all people regardless of race, religion, or national origin. United Hatzalah has more than 3,000 volunteers around the country, available around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With the help of their unique GPS technology and their ambucycles (medically-equipped motorcycles), their average response time is 3 minutes. United Hatzalah volunteer medics arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide the patient with appropriate medical help until the ambulance arrives, free of charge.

Brielle Collins received her BFA in interior design and art history from the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University. She pursued a career as a principal designer working in a high-end residential design firm in Chicago for many years. In the fall of 2012 Brielle embarked on a backpacking journey that would change the course of her life. Since then Brielle has created a travel blog and published the photography book Miss Wanderlust. In 2013 Brielle moved to Tel Aviv after being inspired to deepen her Jewish identity. She has been the Midwest Development officer for United Hatzalah for the past two years. As a Chicago native, Brielle’s goal is to increase the presence of United Hatzalah in Chicago and strengthen the ties between Israel and the Chicago Jewish community.
