UPCOMING FAMILY & YOUTH EVENTS:
B'NAI MITZVAH AT ASBI:
The B'nai Mitzvah proces at ASBI begins in 4th grade, when families reserve a date for their child's Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Please note that you must be a Member of ASBI to celebrate a Bar/Bat Mitzvah here. To learn more, please review our B'nai Mitzvah Handbook - a guide to help you plan through the process: ASBI B'nai Mitzvah Handbook.
SEND-A-KID-TO-ISRAEL PARTNERSHIP (SKIP):
The Send-a-Kid-to-Israel Partnership (SKIP) savings incentive program was created to anticipate and save for our children's Jewish education. SKIP allows families, their congregations, and JUF to become partners in planning for a young person's future Israel experience. SKIP enrollment begins in the fall each year. Kids in 3rd through 6th grade are elligible to enroll. Learn more at asbi.org/skip.
THE ABRAHAM LINCOLN MAROVITZ SCHOLARSHIP:
The Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Fund is available to ASBI full members in good standing for financial assistance towards Jewish day school, beginning with first grade. Awards are based on financial need and on the recommendations of both the Marovitz Committee and FACTS Management. Please note that the Marovitz Fund is a fund of last resort; applicants are required to seek funds from all other sources—including day school financial aid—in order to be eligible to be considered for Marovitz Fund support.
Marovitz applications are accepted each year April - June. Visit asbi.org/marovitz to learn more and apply in the spring.
CAMP SHANA TOVA
Camp Shana Tova (CST) is our annual High Holiday program for kids age 12 months through 5th grade. We have babysitting and programming available throughout most of our Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities to engage children in age-appropriate tefillah and learning over the High Holidays; we also hope this programming supports your ability to have a meaningful tefillah experience in shul.
Camp Shana Tova details and registration open over the summer; learn more at asbi.org/camp-shana-tova.
