RABBANIT DR. LIZ SHAYNE is the Dean of Academics at Yeshivat Maharat, as well as a teacher of Halakha. She has a doctorate in English literature from UC Santa Barbara, which she puts to good use when teaching on topics that range from a history of Jewish feminist thought to the question of robot conversion. She’s been the recipient of multiple fellowships, as well as an autism diagnosis, and believes that the world needs more Neurodivergent Torah and spaces that allow neurodivergent Jews of all sorts to find themselves within Jewish texts and uplift the texts that speak to us in all our complexity. She lives in Riverdale with her husband and two kids and can be reached at RabbanitLiz@gmail.com.
