ASBI’s Social Action Committee invites you to join us for a virtual cooking demonstration led by our own culinary expert Adina Silberman, MSEd, DMD, while hearing from ASBI member, Becky Koren, LCSW, Sharsheret’s Illinois Program Coordinator, about Sharsheret’s work in Chicago to support those navigating breast and ovarian cancer.

This program expands on the organization’s popular “Sharsheret in the Kitchen” series, which highlights nutritious kosher meal options to help empower all of us to make healthy and delicious diet choices.

Adina will showcase three quick and tasty ways to use apples: a sensational apple sangria (with or without alcohol), a seasonal apple salad, and a scrumptious apple tart. The recipes are meant to be easy to follow and prepared in tandem alongside Adina’s demo.

As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage participants to wear something pink, visible on your camera over Zoom. It will make things more lively and show that we’re all in this together!
