Press Release
The Adam R. Straus Memorial Mikvah aims to provide a warm and inviting spa-like atmosphere to help women relax and rejuvenate during the time-honored practice of family purity. The mikvah's Mediterranean-influenced décor features luxurious finishes such as granite countertops, porcelain stone floors, Jerusalem stone-style walls, and state-of-the-art Zuma Airbath tubs. It will be the only fully-functioning community mikvah south of Devon Avenue and is fully handicapped accessible. The Mikvah will be open to the entire Jewish community for the purposes of family purity, on an appointment-only basis. A kelim mikvah for toiveling (ritual purification) of dishes and other kitchen utensils will also be available. The Mikvah has been dedicated by Martin and Mercedes Straus in memory of their son, Adam R. Straus.
Please contact the committee via the shul office at 773-248-9200 for further details or if you have any questions.
