   Professor Eugene Kontorovich teaches at Northwestern University School of Law, and is the head of the International Law Department at the Kohelet Policy Forum, a Jerusalem-based think tank. He is one of the world’s preeminent experts on international law and the Israel-Arab conflict.

 

    He is regularly called on to advise legislators and cabinet members in the U.S., Israel, and Europe on questions pertaining to Israel and international law. His scholarship has been cited in leading international law cases in the U.S. and abroad. Prof. Kontorovich also plays a leading role in the drafting of laws about Israel boycotts in U.S. states.

 

    He attended the University of Chicago for college and law school, and ultimately taught there. After law school, he clerked for Judge Richard Posner on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In a previous career, he was a newspaperman at the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and for many years at The Forward.
