HIGH HOLIDAYS BABYSITTING

As in the past, Anshe Sholom is offering multiple babysitting windows during the high holidays. Please read the following carefully so you understand the procedures and policies.

BABYSITTING IS BY RESERVATION ONLY,

FOR CHILDREN 1 - 7 YEARS OLD

Babysitters will be in the JCC’s first floor gym for children 1-7 years old starting at the beginning of services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur mornings, and in the shul playroom on Yom Kippur evenings for Kol Nidre and Ne’ilah.

If your child is not signed up for babysitting before the deadline of Monday, September 15, he or she will not be admitted to the babysitting room during the High Holidays. Children who are not signed up for babysitting or who are older than 7 years old can use the playroom off the sanctuary during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur mornings. There will be no babysitter in that room; parents will be responsible for supervising any child in the playroom. There is also a Tefillah program for children of all ages on all of these mornings.

The cost for Rosh Hashanah is $36 per child, which includes babysitting on day one and two as well as snacks and light lunch for both days.

The cost for Yom Kippur is $30 per child, which includes Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur morning (with snacks and light lunch), and Ne’ilah.

The deadline to register is

Monday, September 15, at 5:00 PM.
The sooner you make the reservation, the easier it will be for us to ensure that we have the proper staffing, so please respond as soon as possible.

IMPORTANT: In the notes section below, please list the names and ages of each child and which of the following times they will be attending babysitting:

  • Rosh Hashanah Day 1 (Thursday, September 25, 9 AM – 1 PM)
  • Rosh Hashanah Day 2 (Friday, September 26, 9 AM – 1 PM)

  • Erev Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre, Friday, October 3, 6 PM – 8:30 PM)
  • Yom Kippur Morning (Saturday, October 4, 9 AM – 2 PM)
