    The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs and Anshe Sholom invite Muslim and Jewish community members to "Iftar in the Synagogue," a unique interfaith gathering during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and the Jewish month of Elul.
    Join us for an evening of what both traditions do best:
    eating, praying, discussing and schmoozing.

    Muslims began the month of Ramadan on August 22. They fast from sunrise to sunset every day for a month & then break the fast each day with a meal called Iftar.

    Schedule:
    5:45 - 6:00 pm: Foodless Reception
    6:00 - 6:40 pm: Welcome and Jewish and Muslim speakers
    on the significance of the holidays and this event.
    6:45 pm: Jewish Prayer Mincha
    7:04 pm: Muslim Break of Fast & Prayer Maghrib Salat
    Jewish Prayer Ma’ariv
    7:30 pm: Communal Dinner (Kosher) and Discussion
    9:00 pm: Program concludes

    Cost and Registration: $10 per person
