Israel Programs

The ASBI Israel Committee organizes programming to enhance the community's special connection with Israel. Our hallmark has been our monthly Friday night Israel Dinners, where featured political, academic, IDF, and social action speakers have shared their thoughts on Israel. We also coordinate the annual Yom Haatzmaut (Israel Independence Day), and Yom Yerushalayim celebrations. We take it as our charge to educate the community about the current situation in Israel and how we, as American Jews, can help our Israeli sisters and brothers.

Within our committee we maintain an open and respectful dialogue about Israel. Everyone should feel safe to express their opinions, even if they aren't in line with mainstream thoughts and ideologies. We are looking for more motivated members that share our open minded approach to helping Israel.
