Blood spots in eggs

If you find a blood spot in a Grade A or AA egg that you buy from the supermarket, you do not need to throw out the whole egg. Simply remove the blood spot and use the rest of the egg. If you find a blood spot in an egg that may have been fertilized (ex. free-range eggs) then you must discard the whole egg.
